CULTURAL ARTS CENTER IN THE MAKING

Art is a necessary and essential element of human existence. The arts bring us to a peaceful place within, build confidence and well-being, expand the mind intellectually, and significantly help develop emotional and social skills. In fact, research proves the quality of human life can be measured by the degree to which the artistic impulse is encouraged. In other words, the quality of our communities can be measured by how much they embrace, support, and promote the arts.

The Tri-County area has concentrated on developing housing and attracting industry. However, we also need to build our cultural human experience because cultural arts are vital to the heritage and fabric of our Lowcountry communities. At this time, over eighty organizations are excited to participate and augment their programs through partnerships and collaborations with the Cultural Arts Center when it opens.

The CAC’s music hall will offer national, international, and local cultural programs such as performing artists, bands, operas, Broadway shows, musicals, chorales, and orchestras. The dinner theater will host intimate shows, solo artists, plays, dances and educational sessions in the arts, music, film making, and provide career opportunities in the culinary arts. Studio spaces will offer all facets of creativity, such as painting, drawing, woodworking, photography, pottery, needlework, and more.

CAC is an established 501(c)(3) organization, and our Board of Directors is actively searching for a suitable site to build the facility. It’s an exciting time and this is your opportunity to be a part of this transformative project. We would love to hear about your ideas, interest in collaborating or volunteering, and offers for services or donations. Please reach out to us.
